We often misunderstand values. Values don’t exist in a vacuum, they are always held in tension with one another, and the particular stack ranking of the things we value dictates the decisions we make as well as the things we prioritize. If you value saving money and supporting small businesses to the same degree, you will have a difficult time deciding whether to shop at the local mom and pop or head to Amazon. Our values are always in tension.
THIS WEEK: What is a decision you are struggling with? Spend some time considering the conflicting values in this tension, and which of these values matter most to you. Then allow clarity to ensue.
