Interdependence Day

This month our theme is relationships. Here in the United States we celebrated Independence Day last Friday. I like to think that July 4th could just as easily be called “Interdependence Day.” It's interdependence amongst the colonial people that led to the founding of America. It's interdependence that has led to America’s greatest accomplishments since that time. And it’s interdependence that leads America to the best version of itself in the future. In our politically charged climate, it’s important to remember that we all as Americans belong to each other. Our nation’s dream is only possible with interdependence. 

THIS WEEK: At times in our own personal lives we are tempted to celebrate independence over interdependence. But most of our greatest accomplishments and experiences have depended on others for support and fellowship. Take some time to recognize the key supporting relationships in your life right now, and the meaning these relationships bring to your life.
