Intentionally choose not to spend time or energy trying to control things. Many times we can spend a remarkable amount of time and energy on things that are well outside our control. And most things are well outside our control. When we surrender control in these areas, we stop overcomplicating and approach the world simply, trying to do the good we can do through an approach of acceptance and influence. This movement, from trying to figure everything out and ensure everything is perfect, to accepting what is and simply trying our best to choose the good seems subtle, but it’s a dramatically different experience of life.
THIS WEEK: Pick a day this week. Enter into the day with a commitment to not try to control anything, but rather to allow everything and simply engage reality as it is. Pay attention to how this feels for you, and what new creative potentials open up.
All the best,
