This Year I'm Finally Going to...

New Years often come to us with some sense of "this year I'm finally going to x."

It could be that this year is the year we finally quit a bad habit, start a good one, or more broadly make some profound shift in our life. But despite our intentions, these resolutions rarely stick, because they aren't grounded in a daily practice. Isolated from our daily life, their momentum and impact tends to wane with each week that passes.

This year, consider adopting a life-changing "I'm finally going to" that you can really live into, one that you can draw upon at anytime and use as a filter to transform your life. Here are just a few examples... This year I'm finally going to... (Be present) (Slow down) (Say no) (Put myself out there) (Embrace uncertainty over control) (Let go) (Be honest with myself) (Engage the things that scare me) (Create boundaries in my relationships or work or technology) (Make space for the important things) (Embrace order) (Love the life I have) (Love myself) (Trust the process of life).

THIS WEEK: Pick a "This year I'm finally going to" for your life. It could be from the list above, or it could be one you write yourself. Write your resolution down and put it somewhere prominent like your bathroom mirror, on your fridge, or on your computer so it can serve as a reminder throughout 2025.

All the best,
