Day Three
Five to Flourish
Intentionality means doing less, not more.
Welcome to Day 3
In today's lesson, we look at a very simple way to protect and direct your time around your most important work on a daily basis. This practice helps you anchor your daily tasks with your deeper want.
Practice (5 Minutes)
1) Look out at your month ahead, and set 3–5 priorities that align with your highest intentions. As you're writing these priorities, consider how they will get you closer to that deeper want you wrote on Day 1. If you can, try to list them in order of importance.
2) Now, repeat this similar process as you think about your coming week. Select 3 priorities for the week that will help you progress on 1 or more of your priorities listed for the month.
3) Now set three achievable priorities for the day that will help you begin or progress on 1 or more of your weekly priorities. Each day, repeat this step of setting daily priorities that help you progress your weekly and monthly priorities. We recommend setting time aside to prepare for the day. You can do this the evening before or early in the morning before you begin a new day.
We've included a digital download of the Monk Manual 90-Day Daily Page. If you'd like, you can use this template to set daily priorities each day of the month.
Note: There is space to write down a habit on the Monk Manual 90-Day Planner Daily Page. A digital download is linked if you'd like to use this framework.
Focus is doing things right.
Intentionality is doing the right things.
